The £50million project, known as The Wave Park, at 100 acres in Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, is set to transform an underused area. The Wave Park’s technology, powered by Endless Surf’s ES48 flagship, will tackle challenging site conditions, aiming to redirect surfers to this vibrant destination in the heart of London.
The project, to be built in collaboration with Endless Surf’s technology, will mark The Wave’s second major location and build upon its success in Bristol. The Wave strategically positioned Lee Valley for an inland surf experience, contributing to London’s mission to enhance shared well-being through sports and nature. Other attractions include Emerge Surf and Wave Garden, which promise to provide a tropicalWaterpark near Coleshill and a surrounded thermal pool near ingenious embedded with lessons and rentals.
As the CEO of The Wave, Hazel Geary emphasizes London’s role in highlighting the health benefits of游泳 and surfing within a diverse population. The political team plans to submit a planning application, with the site gaining public consultation in March. Public hearing will determine the future, likely leading to a full development plan soon.
The project aims to cement London’s reputation as a surfing destination, attracting not just surfers but also newcomers seeking to宜 to the calming and dynamic environment.
