A new multi-billion theme park, the Land of Legends, is set to open in Qatar in 2028. The theme park, which will be one of the largest in the Middle East, is a collaboration between the team behind the Land of Legends theme park in Turkey and real estate investment company Qatari Diar. The theme park will feature seven themed lands with attractions and experiences based on different themes, spanning across 650,000 square meters. In addition to the attractions, the theme park will also have restaurants and two hotels. The goal of the theme park is to welcome as many as two million tourists a year and provide a new dimension to Qatar’s attractions.
Work has already begun on the Land of Legends theme park, which is expected to be a lively world of entertainment and leisure, offering a top choice for holidays and fun for millions in the region. The theme park is part of the new mega entertainment district in Qatar, the Simaisma Project, which covers 8 million square meters and will include luxury resorts, a golf course, a yacht club, restaurants, and shops. Set around 30 miles from Doha, the project is expected to be completed by 2030. The existing Land of Legends theme park in Turkey, known as the “Turkish Disneyland,” is already open and features two waterparks, two theme park areas, and a range of thrilling rides, including the Hyper Coaster with speeds up to 71 mph.
