Haven has announced that more of their holiday parks will be open this Christmas following the success of Great Yarmouth’s Seashore resort staying open last year. This year, four more parks, including Cala Gran in Blackpool, Rockely Park in Dorset, Primrose Valley in North Yorkshire, and Kent Coast in Rochester will be open until January 3, 205. CEO Simon Palethorpe expressed excitement about bringing the magic of Christmas to more parks across the UK, highlighting the high demand for holiday getaways all year round.
Families interested in spending Christmas at one of these holiday parks can book three or four night breaks, arriving on December 23 and departing on December 27. The caravans will be pre-decorated with a 4ft Christmas tree, and a full Christmas Day dinner will be served at the on-site restaurants. Activities such as Santa’s Grotto, Christmas Jumper Parties, and festive gameshows and entertainment are also available. For those looking to ring in the New Year at a Haven park, breaks from December 30 to January 3 will feature light displays, DJs at midnight, glitter parties, karaoke, fireworks, and a Seaside Squad Countdown New Year’s Eve party for kids.
Haven offers a total of 40 holiday parks across the UK, with a recent £400 million revamp across several locations. Last year, the new Skegness Holiday Park opened, and earlier this year, the Primrose Valley Holiday Park introduced the first on-site Wetherspoons. Mum Catherine Lofthouse shared her positive experience of spending Christmas at a holiday park, mentioning the convenience of not having to worry about cleaning, bed-making, or cooking, thanks to the inclusive utilities. She highlighted the relaxed and cozy atmosphere of the lodge she stayed in, allowing for quality time with family without the usual pre-holiday stress.
