In December 2024, despite the usual slowdown in video game releases due to holiday purchases, there are several big-name games coming out in the first half of the month. Infinity Nikki, a popular beta dress-up game, is set for a full release on December 5. Players can dress up the titular character Nikki and take care of various creatures in the open-world game. Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play hero shooter featuring up to 33 different characters, will be launching on December 6 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Path of Exile 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the original ARPG dungeon crawler, will also be released on December 6 for multiple platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The biggest launch of the month is Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, a Microsoft and Xbox exclusive game based on the popular film franchise. Players will take on the role of a younger Indiana Jones in this action-packed adventure game, set to launch on December 9 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a PS5 version coming next year. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, a remastered version of the popular PS1 games, will be released on December 10 for multiple platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Monument Valley 3, the third entry in the popular puzzle game series, will be available on Netflix Games on December 10 for iOS and Android. Known for its intricate puzzles based on manipulating the environment, Monument Valley is considered one of the best mobile games. All three games in the series will be available to play for free with a Netflix subscription, allowing players to catch up before the new release. With a mix of highly anticipated sequels, remasters, and new releases, December 2024 promises to be an exciting month for gamers across various platforms.
