The new plans include turning the surfing lagoon into an inland beach, removing the existing wave pontoon, and adding 21 holiday lodges. The on-site Hilton Garden Inn hotel has remained open, as well as the indoor activity zone which was taken over by Zip World. Surf Snowdonia first opened in 2015 after receiving £4million in funding from the Welsh government.
