MEL C has confirmed that the Spice Girls have held secret talks to play at Glastonbury with Victoria Beckham.
The Spice Girls star, 48, also known as Sporty Spice, performed her DJ set on the William’s Green Stage at Worthy Farm, at the Somerset festival.
And Mel has admitted that she has a “good feeling” that Posh Spice Victoria would join Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton on the Pyramid Stage for the Sunday legends slot next year.
“It’s the dream, the absolute dream, yeah, we would love to do it…
“You know what, the girls and I, we have chatted about it. You know, it’s the biggest stage in the world, we have the best festival in the world right here,” she told BBC Breakfast.
Asked if she could get Victoria back, Mel teased: “I have a good feeling…”
If all members of the chart-topping 1990s girl band agree, it will be the first time the five have performed together since 2012, when they sang a medley of their hits at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.
Elsewhere Mel is set to collaborate with indie pop band Blossoms on the Other Stage on Friday to form “Spicy Blossoms”.
Mel said: “It’s just an honour to be at Glastonbury, to play Glastonbury, but to be with these lads as well, because as you can see, they are great lads, great band, so I’m really happy to be here representing the Spice Girls with these incredible fellas.”
The Wannabe hitmaker also gushed about Billie Eilish who will be the youngest headliner aged 20 as she takes to the Pyramid Stage.
Mel said: “The thing is Billie just has it naturally, you know, I think she started her first single, you know I think she wrote it when she was about 14?
“And you know, since she was a teenager she has been doing big gigs, you know, she has had a lot of pressure on her shoulders.
“So you know even when she is very young, she is very experienced and she is just going to blow everyone away tonight.”
