Disney Cruise Line has recently unveiled its newest ship, the Disney Treasure, in a theatrical naming ceremony in New York City. The 4,000-passenger luxury liner has set sail for Port Canaveral in Florida, where it will begin its first voyage around the Caribbean. Guests on board will be welcomed into the Grand Halls, where a bronze statue of Aladdin and Jasmine riding a magic carpet is the centerpiece. The ship is filled with details that Disney fans will appreciate, from hidden Mickeys to themed restaurants and bars.

One unique feature of the Disney Treasure is the West End style show Disney The Tale of Moana, based on the popular 2016 movie. The ship also boasts the Plaza De Coco, a Mexican-themed restaurant with live mariachi bands and dancers. Guests can enjoy a rotational dining package that allows them to dine with the same waiter each evening at three different restaurants. The Haunted Mansion Parlor bar on deck three is the first and only bar themed on the popular Disney parks attraction, complete with moving paintings and sinister waxworks.

The Disney Treasure includes favorite features from sister ships, such as the high-speed water coaster AquaMouse and the Worlds of Marvel Restaurant. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers young princes and princesses the chance for a regal dress-up session, Disney style. The Oceaneer kids’ club, a highlight on all six Disney ships, will have kids bursting with excitement with its fun activities and Disney magic. The ship’s entrance features a spinning slide that leads to a lower deck, adding to the overall sense of wonder and entertainment for guests.

Despite being the snazziest ship yet, Disney Cruise Line has plans to double its fleet in the next decade, including the launch of two new ships next year. A seven-night sailing on the Disney Treasure starts at £2,494 per person, departing from Port Canaveral in Florida and including flights from Heathrow. The itinerary includes stops in Cozumel, Mexico; George Town, Grand Cayman; Falmouth, Jamaica; and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. With its unique themed experiences, top-notch entertainment, and luxury amenities, the Disney Treasure promises a magical and unforgettable cruise experience for all who sail on board.
