Finally, excessive heat can significantly accelerate battery degradation. High temperatures cause the fluid inside the battery to evaporate, damaging its internal structure and affecting components like the voltage indicator. This can lead to overcharging and further damage, ultimately shortening the battery’s lifespan. Therefore, protecting the iPhone from excessive heat is essential for preserving battery health and longevity. Avoiding leaving the device in direct sunlight or hot cars, especially for extended periods, can help mitigate heat-related damage.
