HT: ARSENAL 0-2 CHELSEA
Arsenal started bright and looked threatening inside the opening ten minutes.
But Lukaku’s influence on the game grew minute-by-minute.
The forward’s expert hold-up play allowed his team to get up the pitch, he then laid the ball back to Kovacic who quickly found James out wide on the right.
The right-back broke into the penalty area and squared it back to Lukaku who had shrugged off Mari to tap home.
The Blues started to cruise and increased their share of possession north of 60 per cent.
And with ten minutes left in the half, James was picked out again on the overlap.
The right-back exploited the space left by Tierney, broke into the penalty area and fired past Leno to make it two.
