Nick Grimshaw’s Journey Back to 6 Music and the Birth of His New Career
Six years ago, Nick Grimshaw sat at his old radio station, Breaking 1 Breakfast, during the high-octane, tight-lipped waters of live jazz. What he missed was not the roommates’ excitement but the genre-defying chaos of a listener packed with ex-partner Lauren Laverne, who had suffered a terminal cancer diagnosis. “6 Music has always been a favorite of Nick’s,” he said of his new role. “I love it and it feels warmer.
