BUDGET-FRIENDLY supermarket ALDI is bringing back its popular £5 uniform bundle next month.

Prices for school uniform essentials start at as low as £1.50, meaning the deal is sure to fly off the shelves fast.

It will be available to pre-order online from July 3 and you can pick up the items in storm from July 7.

The school bundle includes two polo shirts, one sweatshirt and either trousers or a skirt.

The sweatshirt costs £1.50, a girls/boys polo shirt two pack is £1.75 and the girls/boys trousers or skirt is also £1.75.

The items are available in sizes four years up to 12 and they also come with a satisfaction guarantee.

Aldi release their new Bobbi Brown Primer dupe £40 cheaper than the original

Each year, the supermarket giant holds an event for parents, allowing them to buy all uniform items at a bargain price and ahead of the September rush.

Many households will be struggling financially during the cost of living crisis with energy bills, inflation and other costs soaring.

So Aldi’s bundle will come at a welcome time.

But you’ll have to be quick, as the bundle is a Specialbuy, so once the items are gone, that’s it.

For items bought online, there is a minimum delivery cost of £2.95.

Last year’s bundle cost £4.50, making it the supermarket’s cheapest ever offer.

That means it’s going to cost parent 50p more to stock up this year, but it’s still pretty cheap compared to rivals.

Aldi is continuing its partnership with Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) which means the uniforms are made with the highest quality, sustainably sourced cotton.

Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s are some of the other supermarkets who sell school uniforms.

Here is some of what they offer, and how much it will cost you:

What other ways can you save on school uniform?

For those not wanting to pop to the supermarket, there are other options open to you.

Going second-hand is one thing you can do to save on the pounds.

Also keep an eye out for school fetes as parents will often be selling items their children have outgrown.

Facebook Marketplace is another great option. Often you’ll find branded uniforms for at least half the cost or, if you’re lucky, free.

And under the Education Act 1990, you may be entitled to a school uniform grant.
